Prospective Students
UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS
Scholarship Process for Freshman and Transfer Students
- You must complete pages 1-4 of the application for admission
and scholarships. The completed application (including all
required documentation) must be submitted to Undergraduate
Admissions by December 1 for entering freshmen and
January 15 for transfer students for priority scholarship
consideration.
- You will be considered for all University of Alabama scholarships
for which you have qualified.
- For scholarship consideration, your completed application
will be sent to only one college or school—the college
or school you indicate in the "College or School of Enrollment"
section of the application.
- For questions about individual scholarships, refer to
the 2004-05
Guide to Undergraduate Scholarships. Or contact
your high-school or junior-college guidance counselor.
- The national October ACT and the national November SAT
results are the last college entrance examination results
accepted for students who want scholarship consideration.
- To be considered for need-based scholarships, you should
have a minimum ACT score of 27 (or an SAT score of 1200 or
better) and a high-school GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Some need-based scholarships require students to meet UA's
financial aid priority date (March 1).
