Dr. David E. Wolfe

2007-08 Endowed Chairholder in Music Education

David E. Wolfe, Ph.D., has occupied many official positions for AMTA, GLRC, and WRAMTA during his four decades of service to the profession. He is currently Professor Emeritus and past Chair of the Department of Music Therapy and Coordinator of Graduate Studies at the Conservatory of Music, University of the Pacific. Other positions he has assumed during his career include Program Administrator of the Music Therapy Department at Utah State University, Director of Adjunctive Therapy Services, and Supervisor of Music Therapy at Golden Valley Health Center in Minneapolis. Dr. Wolfe has presented his research at numerous national and international venues, and his articles have appeared in such journals as the Journal of Music Therapy, Music Therapy Perspectives, Journal of Research in Music Education, and the Bulletin of the Council for Research in Music Education. His most recent contribution is a co-authored textbook titled Music Therapy in Pediatric Medicine: A Guide to Skill Development and Intervention.
